There are 650 pupils in total at Mzalendo Primary School & Mzalendo Kindergarten. Classrooms are overcrowded with 70 pupils in each classrooms. Due to a lack of classrooms the school is using their only hall as a classroom. Toilet facilities are terrible as there is no running water. There is only one tap in the playground for drinking, cleaning and cooking. Children carry water and store water in a filthy storage tank.
Many children are hungry at school because they cannot affoard to buy school meals, some children run away during the day to try to find food
Donations are the only way improvements can be implemented.
